My Role
This Spring, I worked as a Digital Marketing Intern for Seek the Joy podcast I was responsible for brainstorming marketing campaigns, presenting new brand awareness outlets, and identifying current trends. I also assisted in the planning, marketing, and outreach efforts for live digital events, including an inaugural summit.

Seek the Joy is a wellness and mindfulness podcast that aims to share conversations on topics ranging from connection and empowerment to spirituality and self-love.
Project Highlights
Summit Strategy
My main task was to assist in the planning and coordination of Seek the Joy’s inaugural summit. The summit was going to bring engaging conversations about empowerment, wellness, and joy from a series of panelists to the larger Seek the Joy community through zoom. I was able to play a key role in piecing the different aspects of this experience together as I worked on reaching out to potential sponsors (supporters) by creating informative guides about the event, helped increase social media engagement through marketing strategies like #SupporterSaturday, and created a content calendar to streamline the process of summit promotions across different social media platforms.

Marketing Initiatives
Another key aspect of my role was to identify new brand awareness outlets through which Seek the Joy could continue reaching out to potential listeners. Over the course of my internship, I was able to plan and execute various 'endeavors' that helped create new avenues through which the podcast could creatively re-use and re-market its content. Some of the projects I worked on included making blog posts and cover art for Instagram and LinkedIn episode guides and experimenting with merchandise ideas for the podcast.

Weekly Newsletters
One of my ongoing duties was to contribute to the podcast's weekly newsletter that was sent to the Seek the Joy community. I had my own section, The Intern Weekly, where I shared ways in which I was practicing mindfulness through the week. Through this experience, I was able to meaningfully connect with the show's listeners and further hone my writing/editorial skills as I learned how to create engaging content for different demographics.
Brand Consciousness


As someone who is very passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, I wanted to actively contribute to the diversification of guests, perspectives, and experiences shared on this platform. I did this by actively seeking out new potential guests for the podcast and presenting them to the show's host, producer, and my supervisor - Sydney Weiss. I enjoyed the research process as it’s helped me learn more how to reach out to and engage with external parties in a manner that help you grow your brand while fulfilling your brand’s mission which, in this case, is providing a new take on wellness and mindfulness.
