On this page, you can find some of the projects/topics as I explored as part of my undergraduate career in Film and Digital Media. Hopefully, these snippets of my work also help in contextualizing my interests in the digital media world.
let's get weird:
The line that separates the real from the fake is often blurred in today’s media-saturated environment. Stuck between reality and a simulation of it – in an everlasting state of hyperreality - our own lived experience seems to be beyond our understanding.
Over the course of the video, highly edited clips that follow constructed narratives (first half) are contrasted with relatively mundane video segments (second half). The video sequences that follow the first half serve as glimpses of a ‘real’ life that exists beyond the previously constructed narratives.
This notion begins to disintegrate towards the end as it is revealed to be a simulation of reality instead of the ‘real thing’. glotch aims to investigate the way in which we, as consumers, relate to and perceive media.

this project is my digital media toolkit and it aims to serve as an overview of some of the systems and structures that shape social media platforms as we know it. feel free to explore the site and ask questions! this site is (and will always will be) a work-in-progress so do come by for updates!
film & digital media capstone project
For my final capstone project, I wanted to explore the implications of South Asian representation in tradiational media + new media (i.e. social media platforms like Instagram). I'm currently looking into other accounts + media representations to add to the project.
internship learning portfolio
As part of my senior experience, I took an internship for credit to apply what I've learned to my work. During this time, I worked as a Digital Marketing Intern for Seek The Joy . My internship proved to be a fruitful learning experience as I learned more about the ins and outs of content creation and was able to participate in Loyola's Undergraduate Research Symposium through the ASPIRE scholarship.
